Channel 5 reinvents LIVE Televisa (with headquarters broadcasts signal indicative XHGC-TV), is an open Mexican television, whose headquarters is located in Mexico City. It is owned by Grupo Televisa. The year 1999-2002 the canal was also named as Tunelito 5 from 6 pm and Ultratúnel May from 16 pm, without deleting the original name of "Channel 5".
The channel is oriented primarily towards children and young people, although in the evening hours often include a more general concept. Over the decades between programming, bought lots of companies like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, among other series included; while the general public oriented series usually come from companies like FOX, Warner Channel, Universal Studios and others. Likewise, the channel also transmits series produced by Televisa, which owns the channel. Also, it's main competitor (at half time) of TV Azteca Azteca 7, likewise, with the same headquarters in Mexico City.
