Caracol Live Streaming

Caracol Live began in 1954 when Caracol Broadcasting Organization offered to pay the costs of the national television, then state, through commercials. At that time its seal (Fernando Londoño Henao, Cayetano Betancourt, Carlos Sanz de Santamaria, Navas and Pedro Germán Montoya) began to suggest the possibility of establishing the first television station in Colombia, Caracol live. A year later the idea was accepted and decided to share with National Broadcasting rights, the state-owned operation of the National Television, the only television station in Colombia at that time, creating TVC (Television Comercial Ltda .. ), a company that lasted two years.

In 1967, Inravisión awarded through a public tender Programadora then 45 hours a week because of this, Caracol Radio Live spun off Caracol Televisión SA, with TV marketing and production as its main objective. In 1987 Valores Bavaria group became the main shareholder and caused a technical and administrative modernization of the company. In the 1990s, before becoming a private channel, which, RCN, PUNCH Productions, Producciones JES, RTI and data and messages and were members of the OTI Colombia, the group with permission to air the Olympic Games and the World Cup.

On November 24, 1997 Live Caracol was granted a license as a "private operated by national chain" for 10 years from the National Television Commission of Colombia (CNTV). The other license went to RCN Television. In 2000 Caracol Live strengthened to terms with TEPUY marketing company television, and the following year signed a telenovela co-production agreement with RTI and Telemundo and short-term agreement with Buena Vista International. In 2002 Caracol TV Internacional was launched.

The December 28, 2010, officially launched Caracol live digital broadcasts to Bogotá, Medellín and its surroundings on UHF channel 14.
